What I saw yesterday. Though I usually don’t go out in the evening, I happen to take a walk around the city. Just as I was leaving a restaurant, I saw a woman bending over the ground, and an old woman, who seemed to be her mother, was caring for her. When I looked at her, our eyes just met. The old man looked like she was asking me to do. I stopped and asked her, “Any trouble?” She said, “She, I thought maybe she is her daughter, was drunk and felt sick. The security person of the shop told me to make her sit in that chair, but I couldn’t move her to the chair. Would you help me move her to the chair?” When I was going to help her, a boy looking at her said, “Don’t move her, she’s my mother, she is always drunk, I called my grandma and the police.” The boy and his sister seemed to be very calm. I left there. However, I kept looking back because I was wondering what would happen next. A group of men stopped and talked to the old woman, and then the police came. I imagined the mom and her son and her daughter. They go out to eat dinner, and often she becomes drunk. What had happened to her? How is the environment of these two little brother and sister?

昨日見た光景です。 普段は夜に外出することはないのですが、たまたま街を散歩していました。 レストランを出ようとした時、女性が地面にかがみ込んでいて、母親らしきおばあさんがその女性を介抱していました。 彼女を見ると、目が合いました。 おばあさんはまるで私に何かを頼みたそうでした。 私は立ち止まり、「何かお困りですか？」と尋ねました。 彼女は「彼女は（もしかしたら娘さんだと私は思うのですが）酔って気分が悪かったんです。 お店の警備員さんがあの椅子に座るように言ったのですが、椅子に移動させることができませんでした。椅子に移動させるのを手伝ってくれませんか？」と言いました。 私が手を貸そうとしたとき、その女性を見ていた少年が「動かさないで。私の母親なんです。いつも酔っ払っているので、おばあちゃんと警察に電話したんです」と言いました。 少年と妹はとても落ち着いているようでした。 私はその場を去りました。でも、この後どうなるのか気になって、うしろを見続けました。 男たちが一団となって立ち止まり、老婆に話しかけ、その後、警察がやって来ました。 母親と息子、そして娘のことを想像しました。 彼らは夕食に出かけ、彼女はよく酔っ払っています。 彼女に一体何が起こったのでしょうか？ この二人の弟妹の環境はどうなっているのでしょうか？
