Mushroom Hunt (original writing) Minamihama welcomes those who are going to join the mushroom-collecting tour. He is the president of an elderly care facility. He knows all the tour members without checking the list because he has guided the tour every year. After retiring from his last job as head of the police department, he became the president of the old people’s house. Just in case, he went to the backyard to check on the waiting bus. In the mirror of the bus, he saw his shaking hand. He put his hand in his pants pocket and took a deep breath. He was afraid of losing his memory because he had been diagnosed with dementia. However, he became clingy to his memories. The mushroom-collecting tour was one place where he could preserve his memories. After checking on the member, he opened a notebook. In it, he had written down many memories from his tours each year: the names of the attendants, the weather, and the names of the mushrooms they had discovered. The notebook helped him guide the tours, even though it lessened his memories. During the tour, one of the attendees whispered, "Despite using the notebook, he's talking as if the memories were his own." As he listened, he smiled and replied, "Memories become more vivid when shared." He took pictures of the newly discovered mushrooms and recorded his experiences on the tour. At the end of the tour, he wondered if he would be able to join next year.

キノコ狩り　（創作） 南浜は、キノコ狩りツアーに参加する人たちを歓迎するために待っていた。 彼は老人ホームの理事長だ。 毎年ツアーのガイドをしているので、リストを確認するまでもなく、ツアーのメンバー全員を知っている。 彼は前職の警察署長を退職後、老人ホームの理事長になった。 念のため、施設の裏庭に行き、待機しているバスを確認した。 バスのミラーに映ったのは、震える自分の手だった。 彼はズボンのポケットに手を入れ、大きく息を吸い込んだ。 認知症を宣告され、徐々に記憶を失っていく恐怖を感じていた。 しかし一方で、彼は記憶に執着するようになっていった。 キノコ狩りツアーは、彼にとって記憶を留めておくことができる場所の一つだった。 メンバーの様子を確認した後、彼はノートを開いた。ノートには、毎年のツアーで彼が書き綴ったたくさんの思い出、参加者の名前、天気、見つけたキノコの名前などがあった。 しかし、ノートは彼の記憶を薄めながらも、彼を導く助けとなった。 ツアー中、ツアー参加者の一人の参加者が「ノートを使っているのに、まるで自分の記憶のように話している」とささやきました。 そのささやきを聞きながら、彼は微笑みながら「思い出は共有することでより鮮明になる」と答えました。 彼は新しく発見したキノコの写真を撮り、ツアーの思い出をノートに書き留めました。 ツアーを終えた彼は、来年もこのツアーに参加できるだろうかと考えていました。
