I am Not Good at DIY 日曜大工が不得意

I posted about my chair that had broken a while ago. かなり前に壊れてしまった椅子について投稿した。 I ventured to a home improvement center last week and bought an inexpensive chair. 先週ホームセンターに行って、値段が高くない椅子を買った。 In order to save money, I didn't ask for assembly as an option. 節約の為に、オプションでの組み立ては頼まなかった。 Sine the sign on the sample chair said that it required for two people to assemble it for15 minutes, I gave it a try. その椅子の見本に、組み立てに２人で１５分かかると書いてあったから、やってみることにした。 The chair was delivered yesterday, the cardboard box was really heavy, so I had a bad feeling. 昨日椅子が届いたが、段ボールがとても重かったから、嫌な予感がした。 There was a simple instruction, three parts of the chair and screws in it. 簡単な説明書、３つの椅子のパーツとネジが入っていた。 In order to attach the chair's back to the seat, I had to keep these in a V shape while assembling, so I hook them at the corner of cardboard box. 椅子の背もたれと座る部分をくっつけるのに、それらを「く」の字の状態に保たなくてはいけなかったから、段ボールの角にひっかけた。 I am not good at DIY, or I hate doing handiwork requiring accuracy. 日曜大工は上手でなく、というか正確さを要する手仕事が嫌いだ。 I tightened and loosened some screws many times while I was in an awkward posture. 不自然な姿勢で、何度もネジを止めたり、緩めたりした。 I also struggle to put five casters on chair legs. また５つのキャスターを椅子の足につけるのにとまどった。 It took me more than two hours to finish assembling. 組み立てが終わるまで２時間かかった。 The seat was soft, but the chair's back was too high and upright. 座る部分は柔らかいが、背もたれが高すぎるし、直角すぎた。 The scale of comfort of this chair is 4 out of 10. 座りごこちは１０点満点の４だ。 I should have chosen a proper chair and asked for assembly. 組み立てを頼んで、ちゃんとした椅子を選べばよかった。 My muscles are sore today because of a bad posture while assembling. 組み立ての時の悪い姿勢で今日は筋肉痛だ。
