I coincidentally found my college classmate on social media. SNSで大学の同級生をたまたま見つけた。 She has become a general manager of a well-known chain hotel. 彼女はよく知られたチェーン展開してるホテルの総支配人だった。 Some magazines or website related to hospitality industry posted article about her. サービス業関連の雑誌やネットでは彼女についての記事があった。 She has moved up the career ladder by using her excellent communication and language skills. 素晴らしいコミュニケーションと語学のスキルで成功していった。 She and I were close for a short time, but I stopped contacting her because of some reasons. 彼女と私は短期間とても親しかったが、色んな理由で連絡をとらなくなった。 When I met her for the first time at a class, she said that she got bored with taking the lessons. 授業で初めて彼女に会った時、彼女は授業が退屈だと言った。 Although she was from a prestigious high school, she failed to be accepted some famous university, so she was reluctant to enter our college. 彼女は進学校の出身だったが、有名大学に落ちて、しぶしぶ私たちの大学に入った。 She rarely attended the classes, but her grade was always good, and she got a good reputation from teachers. 彼女はほとんど授業に出席しなかったが、成績はいつもよくて、先生からの評判がよかった。 I guess she was shrewd since she was young because she was good at finding a right person who gives her benefits. 彼女は若いころから抜け目なかった。なぜなら彼女に利益を与える人を見つけるのがうまかった。 While she was in the college, she worked hard as a part -timer in the service industry and expanded her network. 大学に居る間、彼女はサービス業界でパートとして一生懸命働いて、ネットワークを広げた。 She was older than I was, so she behaved like my older sister, but gradually I came to be irritated by her bossy attitude and her bragging. 彼女は私より年上だったから、姉のように振る舞ったが、だんだん彼女のえらそうな態度と自慢にうんざりしてきた。 The last time I met her, she said that working at a hotel was really challenging because of working graveyard shift, memorizing politicians' names as guests, etc. 最後に会った時に、彼女はホテルで働くのはとても大変だと言った。夜勤とか客としてくる政治家の名前を覚えることなど。 She added that this work is not suitable for me as I had been spoiled. 彼女は私にはこの仕事は向いていないといった。私は甘やかされてきたからと。 When I heard about her success after 38 years, I really admire her. ３８年後に彼女の成功を耳にして、本当に尊敬する。 She has a leadership quality by nature. 彼女は元々リーダーシップの資質があった。 She is a pioneer as a working woman in Japan. 彼女は日本のキャリアウーマンの先駆者だ。
