There was a lighting that was used for 35 years in my parents' house, but the light didn't turn on. I manged to find fluorescent lights that are not available at most appliance stores, but the shop keeper said that it was time to switch to LED lights. I was told that I needed some parts attached to the ceiling for connection, so I asked the staff to come to my parents' house. Two electrical workers were a man and woman. Femal electrical workers are still rare in Japan, so I felt skeptical about whether she was capable or not, but I should not stereotype occupations depending on gender. However, since she was less experienced, she struggled to put pats on the ceiling to install a new lighting. She kept looking at the ceiling while being on a ladder. She might have strained her neck. The man who accompanied her seemed like her supervisor, but he didn't give enough advice to her. I was not sure whether he tried to train her, or he was just unkind. I have learnt that it must be difficult for women to do field-oriented in male-dominated workplaces.
