Gokigenyou!

After:  I went to my daughter's high school to attend a parents' meeting today. There is a unique and polite way of greeting at the school. Teachers and students say "Gokigenyou!"when they see someone. It means "How do you do?" in English. I have never said anything like it  in my life, but I do it at the school.
