Standing or Sitting Down?

In France, they do their jobs sitting down, but on the contrary, store cashiers in the US typically spend eight hours on their feet. I’ve never seen store cashiers do their jobs sitting down in Japan. I think that they should be allowed to use a chair while working, because standing for a long time could cause low back pain and other cardiovascular problems.
