One day, as he offered a persimmon to a monkey being carried on the back of a monkey trainer, the monkey threw it right away on the ground without even taking a single bite. He couldn't help thinking that everyone hated him. No one trusted him. 🐵 However, the kid in the straw sandals entrusted his calf to the leader for guarding. That's because the kid trusted in the leader to be a nice person. Even the calf itself doesn't have any negative feelings towards the leader; behaved well, staying obediently by his side, rubbing itself up against him as if he were its mother. Both the kid and the calf trusted him dearly. Being a thieves' leader, he had never experienced such a thing. [cb]日翻中 (4) [b]信任的力量[/b] 「啊啊，真奇怪。我居然笑到流出淚來。」 然而, 卻止不住淚水直往下流。 「哎呀，這到底是怎麼回事？我竟然流眼淚了！這不就是哭嗎？」 沒錯。這個盜賊頭目真的是在哭。 他覺得很開心。因為直到現在，他總是被人冷眼看待。每當他走上街時，人們都會窗戶緊閉，拉下窗簾，露出滿臉怪人又來了的表情。而那些原本談笑風生的人們也會突然想起自己還有工作要做似的，突然轉身而去。就連游在池塘裡的鯉魚，只要看見他站在岸邊，也會突然翻身潛回池中。他還記得那天，連耍猴藝人肩上的猴子都不屑他給的柿子，一口也沒吃就直接丟在地上了。因為大家都討厭他。都不願意相信他。 但這位穿著草鞋的孩子，卻把小牛託付給了身為盜賊的他來保管，因為那孩子當他是個好人。而且連小牛也完全不嫌棄他，非常溫順地待在他身邊，就像是對待母牛一般地蹭著他的身體。無論是小孩還是小牛都很信任他。對於身為盜賊的自己而言，這還是頭一遭遇到這樣的事情。能被他人所信任，原來是如此令人欣喜的一件事啊！[/cb] [cb]― 摘自[b]《花木村與盜賊們》[/b][/cb]
