Sozoro Aruki (そぞろ歩き - Strolling)

[h3]Sozoro Aruki[/h3] On my days off, I often do [b][i]sozoro aruki[/i][/b] (そぞろ歩き). [i]Sozoro aruki [/i]refers to strolling around without any particular purpose. [b][i]Sozoro [/i][/b](そぞろ) is a term that describes a state of being dazed, distracted, or restless. In addition, [b][i]aruki [/i][/b](歩き) means "walking." Therefore, the literal meaning of [i]sozoro aruki[/i] is "walking in a daze." A more common word that has a similar meaning to [i]sozoro aruki[/i] is [b][i]sanpo [/i][/b](散歩 - "walk/stroll"). However, [i]sanpo [/i]often has a purpose such as health, refreshment, or the act of walking itself.
