I Have a Question

I'd like to understand the correct meaning of the word "routine."
I read an entry titled "Special Morning Routine" yesterday. Two native English speakers had already correced the entry, but I wondered about the usage of "routine." I wasn't sure about the usage, so I just asked a question to the author.
I asked him: 「These two routines are important for me to change my mindset positively and I can focus on working. この These two routines の意味は、special routine とdaily routineの意味ですか?」
This afternoon, he replied to me:「two routinesはコーヒーを淹れる、と、ピアノを弾く、の二つを指していました。」
I understand that a "routine" means a series of to-do lists, which is similar to the word "schedule," so the sentence sounded incorrect to me.
I shared my idea with him, but I'm not confident enough whether my idea is correct or not.
Could someone tell me the correct meaning of "routine" and how to correct the sentence? Thank you for your help.
