タレント

I'm writing this entry on my iPad. I'm not good at typing on it, so I just want to ask a question. In Japanese, we have a katakana word "タレント," which means celebrities or personalities in English. Actually, I thought so. I read an entry including "famous talents" this afternoon. I expected correctors would correct it, but they didn't. Now I'm wondering if the Japanese word "タレント"can be translated into "talent" in English.  I'm curious.
