The Number 8

When I went shopping today, I kept noticing the number 8 everywhere. The price tag on the item which I coincidentally picked up was 88 yen. When I saw a car which had a license plate with repeating number 8. I thought that it was a good sign, but I had no idea what I should do. At night, a co-worker who often gives me horse race tips sent me a message about tomorrow’s race. I instinctively realized that the number 8 was for the horse race, so I asked him what he thought about the horse number 8. To my surprise, he said it was one of his picks too. I have decided to bet on the number 8 tomorrow.
