Edamame

One of my friends gave me some edamame. She told me that her relative grew them and sent her a lot. It was very interesting to know that when her relative grows edamame for the market, they usually spray pesticides seven or eight times. However, the ones she received were not for sale. They were grown for family and friends, so they were sprayed only twice. I washed them carefully, boiled them for a few minutes, and felt thankful for such a thoughtful gift.
