Holiday Schedule

Today is the first day of the Obon holiday in Japan. As a result, the trains run on a holiday schedule. This morning, I took a train to downtown that was three minutes later than my usual one. Even though many people are taking holidays for Obon, the train was more crowded than usual. It was unfortunate that the train arrived at the station five minutes late. Subway was also packed with many passengers. I wondered weren’t they taking time off for Obon?
