The grass is always greener on the other side.

I like Korea and am going to Korea tonight. I like Korean food and Korean culture like K-dramas and K-POP. The other day, I heard a conversation from people lining up in the back of me when I lined up to eat lunch. One of them seemed to be Korean. The Korean woman said that she couldn't understand why so many Japanese would come to Korea even though food and fashion are nicer in Japan than in Korea. Korea is so popular in Japan these days. K-dramas and K-POP are so popular, and young women try to follow Korean fashion and makeup. Many people including me, travel to Korea, and there are many VLOGs of Korean travel on YouTube. Of course, feelings may be different depending on people, but it seems that the Korean trend in Japan looks strange for Koreans. It may be said that the grass is always greener on the other side. I may need to focus more on Japanese good points.

私は韓国が好きで、今日も夜から韓国に旅行に行く。韓国料理も好きだし、韓国ドラマやK-POPといった韓国カルチャーも好きだ。 先日、お昼を食べようとカフェテリアで並んでいたら、後ろに並んでいた人の会話が聞こえてきた。どうやら2人のうち1人は日本に住む韓国人のようだった。韓国人の彼女が、日本の方が食べものもおいしいし、ファッションとかも素敵なのに、なんで日本人がそんなに韓国に来たがるのか分からない、と言っていた。最近日本では韓国が大ブームで、韓国ドラマやK-POPもとても人気があるし、若い女の子はみんな韓国ファッションやメイクをまねしたりしている。私を含めてしょっちゅう韓国に旅行に行く人も多く、YouTubeでは韓国旅行のVLOGがあふれている。もちろん人によって感覚は違うだろうけど、韓国人にとっては日本での韓国ブームはおかしく見えるらしい。隣の庭の緑は青く見えるということか。私ももっと日本のよさに目を向けるべきなのかもしれない。
