Moon Festival

Today is Moon festival, which falls on August 15 of the Chinese Lunar calendar. On this day, the moon is perfectly full, and Chinese people eat moon cakes and appreciate the moon with families to celebrate this day. During the Yuan dynasty, agonized by the government's brutal reign,  Zhu Yuanzhang secretly staged a revolt against it. In order to deliver messages under rigorous monitoring, his military counselor came a with an idea. They squeezed slips saying " Uprise on the night of August 15" into moon cakes and delivered them to insurgent armies across the country.
