During the Northern Wei Dynasty, a female baby, born in February 12, 528, was Emperor Xiaoming's only kid.
Empress Dowager Hu, Xiaoming's mother, who had control over the country behind the scene lied about the baby's gender, declaring that the baby was a prince to reassure the public.
Driven by the desire to fully reign the country, Empress Dowager Hu poisoned her son, Xiaoming, to death.
After the Emperor's sudden death, she claimed the baby as the successor to the throne.
On the same day, the baby was also dethroned by Hu because her lies were exposed.
In principle, the baby might be the first female emperor in both Chinese and world history (reigning in February 528).
However, the baby's emperor status has never been recognized and her whereabouts has been anyone's guess.
