Li Zicheng was a postman during the Ming dynasty.
Because his post station was shut down by the government, he became unemployed, which planted a seed of staging a revolt against the Ming dynasty.
During the late Ming Dynasty, a rebel peasant army led by Li swept across China and conquered Beijing.
Emperor Chongzhen hanged himself so the Ming dynasty fell.
Li soon proclaimed himself emperor and established The Great Shun regime.
However, Li fell out with his subordinates and was unable to govern internal affairs well and defend against the Qing army.
Less than two months after his dynasty was established, he left Beijing in a fluster.
In 1645, he ended up being killed by folks.
The Shun dynasty, which lived for 40+ days, was the shortest dynasty in China history.
