Afghan Girl

In 1984, Steve McCurry, a war photographer, took a photo of an unknown refugee girl in Afghan. This photo became one of the most iconic photos because the girl's green-eyed haunting gaze exudes fear of war. 17 years later, McCurry and National Geography crew went back to the refuge, trying to look for her. With 911 terrorist attack and the US dispatching troop to Afghan, the tension rose again so the journey of finding this Afghan girl was bumpy. Whats more, some women also claimed they were the girl in the photo because they mistakenly believed they could get some compensation. Hence, the team had to resort to the latest iris recognition technique to identify her. Did they succeed in finding her in the end?
