I believe Nyan-8 is a well-structured platform, and it’s understandable that many current users view it as ideal. However, it’s also a fact that I have some concerns over it, maybe because I’m prone to be a contrarian.
My biggest concern is that some existing members may be creating an atmosphere that discourages newcomers, especially young people, from joining the platform.
I occasionally see users commenting that young people’s behavior is terrible or the latest use of language is gross or something. I think this is partly true, but it’s more or less out of point of view, and such opinions are likely to keep new users away from the website (the majority on the Internet are young generations). To me, this kind of situation is not so desirable because I like a community where there are various kinds of people including Gen Z and Gen Alpha.
Younger generations are those who have been raised and surrounded by the Internet since they were born. I think many of them are not only sensitive but flexible. They’re trying to adapt themselves to the latest environment that’s been changing dramatically and quickly. The important thing we should recognize is that they’re significantly influenced by the modern society established by adults. In other words, what older generations have done so far largely attributes to their behavior. Some people of certain ages tend to just say “young people’s behavior is rude” without considering this.
I hope that Nyan-8 is a place that welcomes young sensitivities.
