Bethlehem

Bethlehem means “house of bread” in Hebrew. It is regarded as the birthplace of Jesus Christ. Bethlehem is a small town near Jerusalem on the west bank of the Jordan River. However, the Bible does not give a specific date of Jesus' birth. In 1st-century Jewish culture, the birth dates of ordinary people are not actually recorded. December 25th is not the birthday of Jesus. Jesus grew up in Nazareth and was the son of a carpenter. At that time, many Jews did not think Jesus was the Son of God. Only Peter knew that Jesus was the Son of God.
