The joys of writing lists

I write a shopping list before going to the supermarket. Shopping list stops you forgetting what you need to buy in the supermarket. Crossing off a job from a to-do list feels like a real achievement. Sometimes I don't follow a list, but just the act of writing it down calms me down. Writing a list can make you feel calmer, more in control. So lists are about more than just remembering things. Sometimes lists are like secret codes. Because I wrote it in English. Bucket lists remind you of the things you still want to do in lifetime. I should have a bucket list and think of the goals of my life.
