China dominates renewables

Why is China leading in renewable technology? The project is located in the remote hills of Southeast Laos. It towers above the rural district of Dak Cheung, one of the poorest corners of Laos. This is the site of the monsoon wind power project, the biggest of its kind in Southeast Asia. 133 turbines built by a Chinese contractor made with Chinese technology. The peak power output is 600 megawatts. After the wind farm is completed, it will mainly supply electricity to Vietnam. Recent years, wind farm is becoming the main source of electricity. It is a good example of the sheer global reach Chinese green technology now has. China gains influence through green investments in places like Laos.
