In the US and Puerto Rico, Fahrenheit degrees play a dominant role in weather forecasts and daily life. The origin of Fahrenheit can be traced back to the early 18th century, when it was invented by the German Daniel Fahrenheit. Americans are accustomed to Fahrenheit instead of Celsius. As a foreigner accustomed to using Celsius, I feel a culture shock.
