A gap year

When you've finished your studies at high school and college, do you feel like a well-earned rest? If you are about to embark on a course at university, you will want to recharge your batteries, let your hair down and have some fun. A year off, also called[cb] a gap year,[/cb] is not a new concept in Western countries, but there is now a focus on making the most of this break from academic life. A gap year is now more about gaining skills that will help you in later life. However, there is not [cb]a gap year [/cb]in China. Many college students can't look for a job after graduating from universtiy, due to the economic depression. They are probably jobless for over a year. It could be called a jobless year instead of a gap year.
