読書会

最近、諸読会をし始めました。全然こんなことに関しては経験がないのに、期待は思うように超えた。昨日の夜は、二つ目の会議でした。テーマというと、アーバニズムについてです。僕にとって、アーバンプランナーではなくても、面白いコンセプトなのだ。なぜなら、大きな都市に住んでいますし、自転車で色々なところまで通うからです。さすがに気になるようになりましたね。これまでのお気に入りなのは、ソフトシティーという本のほうだと思います。主にヨーロッパのアーバニズムを中心にして、道路とかビルに対して数々のスタイルについて書いてあります。書き型は簡単でたくさんの写真が綺麗に片づけているから、読むの結構は楽しいです。おすすめです。

I recently started doing a book club. I don't have any experience doing something like this, but it actually exceeded my expectations. Last night we had our second meeting. The theme of the club is about urbanism. For me, even though I'm not an urban planner, it's really interesting topic. Since I live in a big city and use my bike to get around, it's natural that I've come to be interesting in urbanism. My favorite book so far is probably a book called "Soft City." It largely focuses on European urbanism and talks about the many styles and design of buildings and streets there. The writing style is simple, and there are lots of nice pictures neatly arranged, so reading it is quite fun. I recommend it!
