The Time to Cost A Lot

We have a rule to give their own smartphones in my family when they become a high school student. My daughter is looking forward to it since she will make it this spring. Nowadays, having a smartphone has been necessary for students to communicate with us, their friends and members of club activities. She wants to get the latest edition of iPhone, but it seems to be costly as much as buying a new computer. Of course, I am willing to do it, but it is a tough problem since it is also the time we have to pay a lot to prepare for other things in her new school.

我が家には高校生になったら各自の携帯電話を与えるルールがあります。 この春に娘は高校生になるのでそれを楽しみにしています。 近頃は、家族、友人、クラブ活動のメンバーなど連絡を取るため学生たちが携帯電話を持つことは必須になっています。 娘はiPhoneの最新版を欲しがっているようですが、新しいパソコンを買うのと同じくらい値段がするようです。 もちろん買ってあげたいのはやぶさかではないのですが、新しい学校での他の物を準備するのにも沢山お金がかかるので、悩ましいところです…。
