Yesterday I watched the movie 'inside out 2'. Even though it's a kid's movie, adults can enjoy it too.
As the setting, everybody has these 5 personified emotions living inside their head. The protagonist is a 13 year old girl called Riley. When she reaches puberty, she is introduced to new emotions.
What's interesting about this movie is that the emotions that act as "pilot emotions" are different between the protagonist and the other characters. In the protagonist's head, "joy" acts as the leader, reacting to situations and solving problems. When we see inside the parents' heads, the dad's head is leading "anger" and the mum's is leading "sadness." Even though the adult heads have different leading emotions, they seem to have more equal control and a more democratic attitude towards life.
I really liked the message that both good and bad emotions can be useful in life. When anxiety becomes the leader and tries to solve problems, she is good at preparing for the future, but eventually this thinking breaks down Riley's friendships.
In my head, I think joy and anxiety are probably fighting for control www
