I want to find a Japanese language exchange partner, but because I'm not fluent and I've never lived in Japan, I'm a bit worried about my naiviety to certain things.
As a native English speaker, if I meet a creepy person, I immediately know unconciously that that person is creepy. They don't have to say anything weird, but you instantly know that a person is untrustworthy or strikes you with a bad feeling. But, in Japanese, because of cultural differences, you lose this sense of intution and become vulnerable. In a way, it makes me feel like a child again.
Thinking about this, it makes you wonder where you get these ideas about other people in the first place.
